Located in the heart of Montagne de Reims, Champagne Bertrand-Delespierre was born in 1980 from the union of two winemakers’ children: Chantal Delespierre and Didier Bertrand. The 10 hectares of vines are dispatched in 4 villages of Montagne de Reims: Chamery, Écueil, Ville-Dommange, and Montbré, all being first growths. Today, two of their children joined the team, being now the 6th generation of winemakers in the family.
The estate philosophy remains on a soil and vine work only to respect the terroir. To illustrate this can be mentioned the grass presence all across the vineyard, and interventions are well thought out and decided only when necessary. In order to protect the vineyard biodiversity, no weed killer nor insecticide is used and hedges are grown all around the plots. Note that the three main grapes are grown in equal proportions and are 30 years old on average.
